Ok, this next video is amazing! Do you know what Boomwhackers are? They are tubes of plastic that are made to an exact length to achieve a particular pitch. In order to play songs, you need many tubes and you have to strike them in the right order. Here, we have students from Harvard University playing three different songs on Boomwhackers. Do you think it takes a lot of work to be able to put something like this together? Also, did you recognize the wooden box that the musician on the left was sitting on? It’s called a cajon and we have one in our music room!

This next video is from the Vancouver Youth Choir performing a piece called “Rise Up.” Why do you think they used different soloists? Why didn’t they have just one? What emotions did you feel when listening to this song? Would you have the courage to sing by yourself like that?

This next video is just outstanding! It’s a commercial for Honda and features a car driving (as most car commercials do!) but check out how the sounds are made for this video! It's so cool how many sounds that people can actually make!

Finally, here is this week’s Piano Guys video. It is a combination (sometimes called a mashup) of two songs. One is from the movie, Frozen, called “Let It Go” and the other is from a long time ago. It is a piece called “Winter” written by Antonio Vivaldi. It is from a larger piece of music called The Four Seasons. I am sure you can guess what the names of the other movements are! By the way, the scenery in this video isn’t generated by a computer. They really brought a full-sized piano to this place. Do you think that would have been difficult to do?

I hope that all of you are doing well. The weather is starting to get better and that is helping my spirits. It was wonderful to see so many of you last week during our car parade! Stay well!
